If you like museums and interactive science, you cannot miss these two while visiting Rovaniemi. 

Pokud máte rádi musea a interaktivní vědu, nenechte si ujít tato dvě muzea, která se nachází v centru Rovaniemi.

Exhibition of photographs, Arkitkum

Both are part of the same complex, Arktikum older one and with longer tradition, Pilke newer one and a bit more fun for children. I was happy to visit both of them. Even though must admit, that those visits were significantly shorter thanks to Juraj, who is not that patient visitor yet.

Arktikum is a museum dedicated to the north and to the arctic circle. Within permanent exhibitions there is for example beautiful short projection of aurora borealis.

Tiedekeskus Pilke is a science centre which introduces northern forests. It is an interactive muzeum, interesting and entertaining. We were there just quarter hour or twenty minutes. However if Juraj was a bit older, we would definitely spend there hours of playing games and exploring interesting facts. It reminded me of the science museum Heuréka in Tikkurila, even though smaller.

Obě  jsou součástí jednoho komplexu, Arktikum je starší a s delší tradicí, Pilke novější a o něco zábavnější (hlavně pro děti). Měla jsem to štěstí navštívit obě dvě, i když s Jurášem byly obě návštěvy o něco kratší, než bych si přála. 

Arktikum

Arktikum je musem věnované životu na severu a arktickému kruhu. Ke stálým exhibicím patří např. úžasná několika minutová projekce polární záře.

Tiedekeskus Pilke je vědecké muzeum (tzv. science centre), které představuje výstavu věnovanou severským lesům. Jedná se o interaktivní muzeum zábavné a zajímavé. Byli jsme tam s Juráškem jen chvíli, no věřím, že pokud by byl troch starší, mohli bychom tam strávit i několik hodin, hraním zajímavých her a objevováním zajímavých faktů. Hodně mi připomnělo interaktivní vědecké centrum Heuréka v Tikkurila, i když o něco menší.
